Anthony Miller and James Denovan had a scam going in Queens Park Recreation Ground, Glasgow targetting homosexuals. James Denovan would hang about the toilets and get picked up by homosexuals, which was at the time illegal, and when they went off to some quiet bushes Anthony Miller 19 would appear and they would then blackmail the victim and rob them.

When they tried the scam on John Cremin he resisted and they hit him with a plank of wood killing him. It wasnt until 2 months later when James Denovan was caught in the toilets that he confessed to the crime.

Anthony Miller was convicted of capital murder and executed whilst James Denovan was convicted of non-capital murder and detained at Her Majesty's pleasure.
